Owning a successful home based direct sales business takes discipline. One of the most often heard reasons to work from home is because you can set your own schedule and be flexible. Yes, this it is true, but often this is the exact reason it doesn’t work. Procrastination sets in and being your own boss is more about not working than building your business.

One way to make sure this doesn’t happen to you is to set goals. Internet Marketing Expert & Coach Anne Guillot has a great article about how to go about setting the right goals:

When I started in the network marketing business I was very surprised to see that many people had no idea about goal setting and how to do it the right way. Most people who contact me and people who join my team do not really take the time to set their goals for their business.

I think that when you are working from home and especially when you are starting an internet business, whether on your own or as a distributor of a MLM or any network marketing company, it is critical for your success to take the time to set goals properly.
