Craigslist has indeed opened a doorway for casual sellers. If you were running a business, you would have the proper setup but what if you had something like a sandwich maker or a Bar BQ Grill where was you supposed to sell all that online. I also agree with salesmom that Craigslist can be a good source of traffic, you can concentrate on marketing your products where as the URL you have placed continues to trickle in the traffic which may ultimately result in a few conversions. You should definitely work on Craigslist

Hi Stacey, thanks for commenting....here are a few thoughts about the Craigslist advertising. I occasionally post ads in the Services/Small Business section where network marketing/MLM ads are permitted. I've gotten a few responses from it and since it's free and I use the same ad I've prepared in advance, it's not costing me more than a couple minutes of my time. You are also permitted to post your Website URL link in Small Business postings (only place on Craigslist it's permitted), so even if people don't contact you directly, they may visit your website.

For me it is something that is free and only takes a couple minutes to post, it can't hurt! Just be careful not to post any personal information like a physical address or listed phone number.

Hope this helps.

I'm intrigued by the idea of using Craigslist. I have tried to post information about my direct sales business in a couple of different forums on Craigslist, but each time they have been flagged or removed because they "don't accept MLMs". Any thoughts?
