Tell us a little bit about your background and why you decided to get started in Direct Sales:
I chose to get involved in the Direct Sales business b/c I wanted to challenge myself to think outside of the box in how to market a product. I especially liked the idea of teaching people how their skin was changing at every stage of their life.
What made you decide to choose Bona Clara as the company you would represent?
I decided to join Bona Clara because it is an innovative company who’s motto includes educating others to embrace beauty at every age. The products are the perfect blend of nature and science and I felt compelled to share them with my friends and family.
What have you found to be your biggest challenge in owning your own home business?
Finding time to think creatively and spread the word about the products. To combat that though, I have used a lot of social media to educate others.
What has been your biggest achievement?
Recruiting three team members in less than three months. For a company that is not (yet!) a household name, recruiting others has been a staple!
What advice would you give to those people who are considering a move into the direct sales industry?
Give it a shot! Think about the freedom it can afford you – use social media to reach an audience you’ve never met.
What is a typical day for you when you are working your business?
I still have my full time job, so I get in early, send a couple messages on FB, Twitter and maybe post an Instagram on the way to work. I chat with folks who have already used the products and get their feedback – try to book some additional parties.
Tell us a little bit about your goals for 2013.
By the end of 2013, I’d like to have 10 active team members directly below me. I’d like for them to be motivated and energetic about growing THEIR businesses too. Bona Clara is an educational conversation starter, some of my friends who use it work in the White House, higher ends of Congress and are living abroad in Embassys around the world. Bona Clara products are so innovative and revolutionary, we are a great conversation starter at any dinner, conference or meet and greet.
