Direct sales training is enhanced with sell words and inspiration phrases to build prospect fervor. Sell words are a sales closing technique boost, inserted to compel inspiration to buy now. This listing of sell words provides the energy and vigor to lead your prospect into a sale close.

Sell words work to reinforce your product and highlight the benefits you are presenting. They add force to emphasize an inducement to take action. Most direct sales training involves learning how to fight off objections and handle resistance in closing sales. The techniques of inspirational phrases automatically work in holding back your client from giving objections and resistance.

Directly use or modify the inspirational words and phases shown to work into your sales closing techniques. After awhile you notice sell phrases that become a regular part of sales closing. Forget what your sales manager said, that the prospect buys because of you not the company you represent. That is why inspiring potential customers first provides force to closing the sale.

Here is a listing of some direct sales words to encourage prospects to increase interest. These inspiration phrases and action words include: dare to compare, deluxe, demanding attention, daring innovation, deep burning desire, definitely affordable, desirable, discover how, described as outstanding, deluxe edition, develop the best strategy, dynamic, difference of impossible and possible, discover the mystery, do your finances embarrass you?, don’t be a fried chicken, double your profits, and dramatic breakthrough.

An additional listing of direct sales words includes: earth shattering, enjoy the independence, exploding volcano, expressway to success, enter a new galaxy, extras at no charge, everything you expect, eye opening advice, economically sound, effective immediately, exchange pennies for dollars, electrifying results, extensive product research, enchanting, enormous savings, essential ingredients, expert market timing, and eyeball popping.

As you see all the inspirational phrases and sell words start with the letters “D” and “E”. This could be a reflection of dollars and earnings heading your way.

Well published author, Donald Yerke likes to concentrate on what you don’t already know or what no one else dares to print. Tell it like it is. Read Don’s author bio.

Personalized customer service sets you apart from all the others and leads to long-term, profitable relationships with your customers. Set a goal to make 2 customer service calls a day and watch your business explode!

Here just a few reasons to call your previous customers and hostess. Start making those calls today!

To assure satisfaction with their product or service

To introduce a new item from your product line

To introduce a new company program or special

To generate reorders

To generate bookings

To explore sponsoring possibilities

To ask for referrals

To invite customers to a local event

Phone Tips

Put yourself in a positive frame of mind before you make the call so you can transfer your enthusiasm to them.

The first fifteen seconds will set the tone for your entire call. Your most effective introduction is one with professionalism and enthusiasm!

Start off right. “Is this a good time for you?” or “Have I caught you at a good time?” will show respect for her time and privacy.

Have a purpose for your call (see the list above for ideas) and communicate it right away.

Everyone wants to feel special, so always personalize your call with a compliment or a warm comment.

Be enthusiastic and confident! You’re offering an exciting opportunity to be a hostess or a Consultant and it’s only fair that she has a chance to hear about it!

Have a bulleted script in front of you to keep you on track during the call but be sure to not read it verbatim. The more calls you make, the more comfortable you will feel and the more natural you will come across.

Never hang up without following up on your intention. People respect and want to do business with those who are purposeful and professional.

Aside from generating new leads, getting repeat customer orders is also one of the best ways to excel with direct sales. Here’s what you can do to get your clients to keep on coming back for more:

1. Great customer service. Your customers will surely remember you and later on, become loyal to you if you offer them with great customer service. This should start even before they make a purchase. Be cordial and treat them right when they inquire about your products and services. Strive to offer them with the best possible answer so they can make well-informed buying decisions. Then, offer them with after-sales support. They must still be able to contact you even after making a purchase. This is one way of showing your customers that you are truly interested in helping them out and that you are not just after their money.

2. High quality products. People will buy from you over and over again if they see that they are getting great value for their money. You must offer these people with top-notch, high quality products. Your offerings must be working as designed and they must be able to bring huge difference to the lives of your prospects.

3. Keep your customer base updated. Make it a habit to send your customers an email or better yet, call them up each time you have new products to sell. Make sure that your offerings will match their needs and demands so they’ll look more valuable to the eyes of your prospects.

4. Customer loyalty programs. Set up loyalty programs where your customers will be rewarded each time they buy from you. Don’t worry as you don’t need to spend a fortune on these programs. You can give your clients free product samples, small discount, freebies, and vouchers. Based on research, buyers really appreciate getting something from free — no matter how small they are.

5. Host a party. You can throw a party for your customers and prospects at least once a year. You can take advantage of this occasion to unveil your new products or to simply have time with people who gives you great business. The good thing about doing this is that your clients will feel that they get more perks in doing business with you. This will keep them from going to your competitors. In addition, this can convince them to recommend you to their friends and family members.

In the business of direct sales party plan selling, hostess coaching is a vital part of our business. Hostess coaching is done to insure a good turn-out for the demonstration of the products we are selling, and to get additional sales from the people who are not able to attend. You can also increase your bookings through hostess coaching by just adding a little bit more to your coaching contacts.

Traditionally we provide our hostesses with catalogs and order forms and instruct them to get orders from the guests who will not be able to attend. We may suggest a price-point that she aims for: $100, $200 or more in “outside” orders before the party starts. This is an excellent way to increase our sales and, just as important, the amount of products our hostesses receive.

But is there a way for us to teach our hostesses to get additional bookings for us? Yes there is! It’s a simple and easy way for us to increase our bookings and generate more business.

We know when we are talking to our new hostess we need to suggest to her that she show the catalog to the people who are not able to attend the party. What would happen to your business if you said, “Sally as you are showing the catalog to people who can’t attend I want you to listen for some ‘magic words.’ If your friend is commenting about how many things she likes in the catalog and having a tough time narrowing down what it is she would like to get, then suggest to her to book her own party so she can take advantage of our hostess program. Words you want to be listening for are things like:

There are so many cute things in here.

I just can’t decide which one to get.

There’s several things I want but I can afford to get only one.

This is cute! Oh I like that one, too.

I sure could use that but I don’t think I want to spend that much.

When you hear your friends saying things like that, suggest they get one or two items from your party and then book their own party to get the rest of the things they like at free and reduced prices. That way you can take advantage of what our hostesses receive when they get bookings. Then explain to her what’s in it for her when there are bookings at her party.

The night of her party how much easier is it to talk to her about recruiting? She’s already experienced selling and booking with your company. When you ask her if “she has ever considered doing what you are doing?” you can point out to her to that she has already been a consultant with your company because she has gotten sales and also bookings. Tell her that when she becomes a consultant those bookings would be hers to help her get started.

Showing your hostesses how to get outside bookings is a way to increase your business! You will either have additional bookings you otherwise would not have gotten, or else you’ll have a new recruit!

Balancing your family and your business can be a struggle to say the least. One or the other may demand more at times which makes the balance even more difficult. There are a number of ways to achieve balance with your family and your business.

The first thing you need to do is decide what you want and need out of your business. Do you do your business because you need the money? Maybe you work your business for the satisfaction that you get when you help people. Whatever the reason is, you need to write it down so you will always have it in front of you and in a place where you can see it at all times.

The next thing you need to do is set your business hours. Now this is something you must work into your family time and they need to be involved in this decision making process. Now if you work from home full time and your children go to school full time, then the decision is easy to make. You work while they are in school, however this may be a completely different story if you work full time outside the home or your children are little and spend their days with you. This is why it’s crucial that you sit down with your family and decide on a work schedule that works for everyone.

Once you have your hours set, you need to make sure you follow them. If your day is to end at 3 pm, then at 3 pm you turn off the computer and you don’t do another thing with your business until your day starts tomorrow. This will be hard to do at first, but you are working to achieve balance and this is the start.

One of the easiest ways to achieve balance between your family and your business is to outsource as much of your workload as you can. You may think this will be hard to do, but you can do it. Remember the reason behind this is balance and it won’t happen if you don’t figure out a way to make it work.

Outsourcing is where you pay someone to do the work for you. For instance, writing articles and submitting them to the article directories can be a timely task. But, if you outsource this to a Virtual Assistant, you won’t have to spend the time doing it and you will be able to work on things that can’t be outsourced.

It doesn’t matter what kind of business you work, there are things others can do to help you save time. Even direct sales people can outsource work. If you are in direct sales, you probably do online networking, advertising placement, article writing and submissions, and blog writing and posting. Those are all things that can be outsourced. If you run a coaching business, there are a number of things you can outsource as well. Look at your day to day tasks and see if you need to be directly involved in it. For example, you shouldn’t outsource your product presentations or coaching meetings. Those are tasks you should do yourself.

Another way to achieve balance is to organize yourself. Organization is key to accomplishing a lot in business. If you have your office organized and you use a daily planner, you will know what needs to be done, when you need to do it, and everything will be in place so you won’t have to search for anything. When you work your business this way, you will be able to complete so many more tasks than you ever thought would be possible.

These are two of the many ways to balance your family and your business. Remember to take a break every once in a while, spend time with the family, and go on vacation at least once a year. When you do these things, don’t bring your business with you. People will understand. Think about what it will take for you to win the balancing game in your life and go for it!

Your Ultimate Marketing Plan: Four Key Areas

There are several strategies you can use to grow your business, but they all fall under four general categories:

Attract new customers.

Increase the average sales amount from each sale.

Entice your customers buy from you more often.

Keep your customers for life.

The first and last are obvious for reporting in your marketing efforts. But the two in the center are just as important in the overall growth and profitability of your business. If a small business is receiving a significant potion of its new business from referrals, they are probably not spending enough time attracting new customers from the marketplace.

But referrals are the best kind of customers, you say. Yes, they are great, but if you spend the majority of your time and money trying to get them you may be neglecting a whole group of new customers that are waiting to buy from you. Also, if a small business spends all its time marketing to new customers and ignoring existing customers, you may be missing out on a lot of ripe fruit. As I mentioned, there are many ways to leverage your marketing efforts in these four categories. Here are just a few ways to improve each of your areas of growth:

Attract more new customers…

Select a niche market that you can easily contact and dominate it.

Develop a CONSISTENT marketing strategy that compels your prospects to
contact you to learn more about how you can help them.

Establish an active referral program.

Increase the average sales amount…

Upsell your customers

Suggest add-on items and services that complement your customer’s purchase.

Sell in sets at a savings from separate item prices.

Make your customers buy from you more often…
Establish CONSISTENT communications that present enticing, reactive offers.
Follow up with your customers after the sale (what a concept!) Answer questions and suggest other product that may help them.
Track your customer’s usage and buying patterns to suggest purchases right
before they actually need them (this also helps keep the competition away).

Hold on to your customers for life…
Deliver STELLAR customer service by going the extra mile.
Give your customers the opportunity to “go on record” by giving you testimonials
about your great customer service.
Survey your customers from time to time to gauge their level of satisfaction.

How do the top direct sellers get where they are? They build a strong team!

If you are interested in recruiting, you sometimes need to recruit beyond the obvious. In addition to money, career, etc., many are driven by an emotional need. The following are a few terms to use to pepper your recruiting conversations.

“Imagine the feeling of this:” (Name a Benefit…)
“Imagine the feeling of complete freedom to do what you want and live where you want?”
“Imagine the feeling of being in a position to have the resources to help a friend or family member in need. How would that feel?”
“Imagine the feeling of accomplishing your goals and having the power to help others accomplish theirs? How would that help you?”

These ideas may help spark you to look at your business practices a bit differently. Give them a try and see how they can help you develop not only your sales, but your team and downline as well.

I learned quickly in direct sales that I had to approach booking parties with a plan or I would not book parties. Thus when I decided to become a booking expert and truly master the skill, my booking average went up to 3-4 bookings per party.

Because my success was not without struggle, my experience helped me relate to the discomfort involved with asking for parties and ultimately made it possible for me to help others overcome it. I will never forget how uncomfortable I felt when I first started. Learning can be painful but building skill is priceless.

I perfected my strategy when I fused the mindset of booking parties with my method of securing new commitments on the calendar. I broke down the mechanics into the following formula:

Guests are more likely to book when they anticipate you to invite them. Set the stage for bookings.

Guests are more likely to book parties when they know you, like you and trust you. Read on to see how many of the booking steps you practice from my ‘Barb’s Better Booking’ Checklist’. As you can tell, it is not one single action that yields more bookings, but many small intentional actions that will improve results. See if you can incorporate a few new steps into your booking protocol, steps designed to enhance the know, like, and trust factors for you.

Better Booking Results Checklist For Direct Selling Home Parties

___1. Build Party Attendance – It is hard to book a party or earn money with a chair, sofa or lamp so remember, the more people at the party, the more potential for prosperity (for you and your Host). Make sure your Host is talking up the benefits of attending the party. Emphasize the education, as well as the fun factor, as the combination draws a bigger crowd.

___2. Challenge Your Host To Help – Ask your Host to have a booking waiting for you before you arrive. Enlist the Host to help you and make it worth your Host’s worthwhile.

___3. Offer To Call Each Guest Before The Party – As a service to your Host, offer to call each guest to confirm their attendance, and in doing so encourage them to bring a friend. Making a personal connection with potential guests prior to the party helps you build the “know, like and trust” factor and establishes your standard of customer service. Even leaving a voice mail can highlight your professionalism and show how you support each Host. Most direct sellers overlook this step, so making pre-party calls will set yourself apart.

___4. Arrive Early To Be Booking Ready – Arriving before guests allows you to not only to set up early and chat with your Host but also frees you to greet guests when they do arrive. Take advantage of the opportunity to build rapport. Ask your Host to share a little about each guest with you. Who likes to have parties? Who is involved in organizations? Who might appreciate free products or want to earn some money? Make notes on your guest list.

___5. Greet Guests With Interest – Learn something special about each guest in your pre-party chat. What do they do? Where do they live? How do they know the Host? How familiar are they with your product line?

___6. Remember Guest Names – When you sincerely address guests by name, you communicate that they are important to you. If you cannot remember everyone’s name, consider using name tags.

___7. Decide To Deliver Booking Bids – Determine before you start when you will deliver 3 booking bids to the group. This means deciding when you will invite others to consider booking and what you will say in each invitation. Be prepared, not scripted or robotic. Be direct or you might drive home and realize you forgot to ask.

___8. Promote Your Host Benefits – Promote the benefits of being a Host through both your verbal and non-verbal communication. Pass around Host specials. Refer to the Host program. Inform others what Hosts can earn when they open up their homes for a party.

___9. Highlight Your Host – Make each Host feel genuinely appreciated and special. Without their hospitality you would not have a vehicle to build your party plan business. Publicly acknowledge your Host today and others will be more inclined to Host in the future.

___10. Party With Play – Always remember, it is a party you are promoting. Infuse fun and laughter into your party process and bookings will follow. The more your guests enjoy the time together, the more they will want to repeat the experience and get their own friends together. It is up to you to create the party atmosphere.

___11. Give Personal Invitations – Ask each guest individually to be one of your special Hosts. “Would you be willing to invite me into your home to host your own party [or get together]?” Do not pre-determine who will and who won’t say yes. Ask everyone. This single practice boosted my booking results tremendously.

With practice, you will increase your bookings and build a business with solid confidence. Develop your style so that you are using the most effective word choices that work for you. Challenge yourself to get to a point where if your calendar ever looks slim, you have the power to rebuild it. With this knowledge you will attract others intentionally to schedule with YOU!

When you run a home-based business it can be rather difficult to juggle all the responsibilities you have all in one place. Work at home moms (WAHM) may have even more difficulties making the time to work.

You live in your home but you are working out of it too, so what happens when those responsibilities begin to co-mingle? It seems there isn’t enough time for everything or everyone in the day and finding a balance can be frustrating at times. When the kids are at school this isn’t as difficult. You know what time they go to school and when they will arrive home. Every business has office hours and your home based business should be no exception. Set the work at home hours to coincide with the children’s schooling. You know just how much time you will have in between to take care of business. During the summer months and various holidays, however, this can be a more challenging task.

Because you are self-employed you can’t just take time off whenever you choose. Time means money and not working means not making any, so the alternative then becomes finding a way to juggle kids with work. The key here is to give them something constructive to do while you are working, something that makes them feel like they are important contributors to the task at hand. This way you will know what they doing at all times while still being able to take care of important business. Working while enjoying the kids events is a great way to mingle your WAH activities. Another is to give your children chores that relate to your business. This way they earn their allowance, learn business skills and help you out as well.

When it comes to computers, kids are usually just as, if not more, technically savvy as the adults. If you are going to let them use a computer, make sure it is one earmarked especially for leisure time. That way you have a computer for business and they have one for fun. Encourage them to use the computer while you are making important phone calls or sending out e-mails.

If you do not own two computers and allow the kids to use yours, give them specific times when this will be possible. Give them a separate log in so they won’t be able to access your important information. Back up everything in your computer. This is crucial even if you don’t have kids, but always remember accidents can happen. This may be especially true if you and the kids are using the same computer.

Manage your work at home time well. Most WAHMs are more likely to be diligent in working with a timetable when kids are around than if you are by themselves. This will make tasks much easier. Also keep in mind it may be necessary to work outside what are considered to be normal working hours and this can mean grabbing an hour or two when you can get it. One effective way to work around this is to try and match your off-hours work schedule with kids’ activities that don’t require your assistance or involvement. For example, you might choose to make calls or write your blog posts while the kids are doing their homework.

For smaller children give them constructive activities to accomplish. If your kids love to draw, stock up on art supplies. Allot them a workspace that is theirs and encourage them to be creative. Giving your little ones special games or activities that are only available when Mom is working will make them feel special and more apt to be cooperative when you are trying to get things done.

Working at home requires planning. When you make some plans and systems that will provide balance between family and work your WAH business is sure to prosper.
