Direct Sales Party is looking for consultants who would like to host online parties at the Direct Sales Party website (www.directsalesparty.com)

As a HOST for a multi-vendor party:

• Your $2.50 vendor fee will be refunded so your 30 minute time slot is FREE
• You will be required to stay for the entire 2 hour party
• You will be responsible for greeting all guests and vendors that come into the party room.
• You will also be responsible for introducing the new vendor by name and company name at the start of each presentation.
• You will be responsible for making sure that all vendors remain on schedule.

You are able to pick your own party date and time so that it fits your schedule.  If you are interested in being a host of a multi-vendor party please email us at success@salesmoms.com with the times and dates that you would like to host.

The Holidays are a great reason to call ALL of your previous customers and hostesses to offer a show, schedule a private appointment and gather referrals.

Here are just a few tips to help you get on that phone.

• Put yourself in a positive frame of mind before you make the call so you can transfer your enthusiasm to the person you are calling.
• Set your intention for the call. What do you want to have happen? How about reminding them you are there to help them with their holiday shopping? Help them to shop by suggesting companion items that will compliment what they have already ordered.

• Make first impressions count. The first fifteen seconds sets the tone for your entire call. Your most effective introduction is one given with professionalism and warmth.
• Respect their time. “Is this a good time for you?” will show respect for your customer. Don’t assume your customer is available when you call. Respect their time and privacy, and they will remember your sincerity.

• Build rapport. Everyone wants to feel special, so build rapport with a compliment or gesture of friendship.

• Go for the gold! You made the call – now make the most of the opportunity by offering to…

1. Save money by shopping for the holidays with their hostess credit and/or discounts.
2. Earn holiday cash by becoming a “Holiday Helper” by starting their business just in time to collect orders for the holidays.
3. Shop in a safe and hassle-free environment of their home or office with a group of friends or just the two of you.

No matter what the result of your customer call, always ask for a referral by saying, “Who do you know who still needs to do their holiday shopping or who could use some additional money this time of year?” People respect you when you are purposeful and professional.

The holidays are fast upon us and as direct sales business owners we know how it feels to have just one more thing to think about!   The holidays are meant to be a time of excitement, memories and great fun.  But often the holidays drive moms, dads and shoppers everywhere over the edge and into the land of stress and craziness.

I want you to think about taking a different approach to the holiday season and remember:  YOU have the gift of GIFTS!

Remind your friends, family and customers that they have the ability to do ALL of their holiday shopping without having to battle the check out lines or step foot in the mall.   They don’t even have to  leave the house!  By adding a little sparkle of “extra mile” to your already excellent customer service skills, you can help busy shoppers everywhere bring back the joy and fun this holiday season.

Let’s talk about a few ideas you can implement in your direct sales business to help these over the edge shoppers get started today!

• Give them a simple organization gift – Send out a blank wish list sheet to your customer mailing list.  This can be as simple as a chart with columns and rows for “Name” and “Gift” for them to keep track as they shop. It’s a nice gesture and could be just what an overwhelmed shopper needs to help them get organized with this part of the season. You can create one yourself in word or excel, or search the web for some fancier templates. Just make sure it has your resource box on there, “Compliments of…” so they know who to call!
• Offer gift-wrapping and “delivered to your door” service. Yes, it might cost you a little more, but think of the help you’re giving your clients and the potential for future business you’re generating by the sacrifice.
• Group your products into gift packages. You can get extremely creative here. Take a good look throughout your catalog and create lovely packages of complimentary products at various price points. Do the thinking for your customers to take away one more layer of stress. Go beyond just suggesting and up selling and create packages with package pricing so all they have to do is call or email you and say, “I want 3 of that $15 package you mentioned on your email”. Offer the gift-wrapping above and include that in your package pricing to make it even easier for them.
• Provide gift certificate services so your customers can give your catalog and the certificate as a gift. Not only does this help your customer with her stress level, but it gives you the opportunity to win over a new customer as well.
• Most of all brainstorm about what would help YOU feel more relaxed about your holiday shopping this holiday season and then see how you can help other moms in the same way.

Make the most of your holiday selling season by reaching out and helping others. You’ll be glad you did!
